Of all the poker based casino card games Caribbean Stud Poker is most popular. Among the leading gaming software providers Rival Gaming is perhaps the only one that does not offer this game at its online casinos. Though Caribbean Stud Poker offered at all online casinos is identical in essence, there are differences in nuances in the games offered by different software providers. This article discusses the Caribbean Stud Poker from Playtech, WagerWorks and Vegas Technology.
Caribbean Stud Poker at Playtech online casinos can be played by real money account holders only because it offers a progressive jackpot. In order to be eligible for the progressive jackpot players have to place the side bet of 1 credit. The progressive side bet pays whether or not the dealer qualifies. If the player draws a royal flush he wins 100% of the progressive jackpot. If he draws a straight flush he wins 10% of the progressive jackpot. There are payouts of 500 credits for four of a kind, 100 credits for full house and 50 credits for flush. The payouts for the call bets start with high card hands and go up to royal flush hands. These payouts are made only if the dealer qualifies and the player wins. If the dealer does not qualify then the call bets push. High card hands have a payout of 1 to 1 and royal flush has a payout of 100 to 1. Playtech Caribbean Stud Poker can be played at online casinos like Casino Tropez, Casino Del Rio and Omni Casino.
Vegas Technology online casinos do not directly list Caribbean Stud Poker under Table Games. They list it under Progressive games, which is a sub section of Table Games. Hence some players think it is not offered and miss out. Vegas Technology allows its players to play Caribbean Stud Poker for free with the progressive side bet disabled. That way these players can at least enjoy part of the game. The progressive side bet operates exactly as in the Playtech variant. However the call bet payouts are very volatile. The payouts for hands ranked flush or higher are considerably more. For example flush hands pay 15 to 1 in the Vegas Technology variant but only 5 to 1 in the Playtech variant. Royal flush hands pay 1,000 to 1 in the Vegas Technology variant but only 100 to 1 in the Playtech variant. These are compensated by reducing the payout for two pairs from 2 to 1 in the Playtech variant to 1 to 1 in the Vegas Technology variant. Vegas Technology Caribbean Stud Poker can be played at Go Casino, Millionaire Casino and VIP Slots Casino.
WagerWorks offers a very unusual Caribbean Stud Poker game. It is perhaps the only software provider to offer Caribbean Stud Poker without a progressive jackpot. Instead it offers large fixed bonus payouts. Hence it allows free money players to enjoy not only the base game but the side bonus game as well. Instead of the two progressive jackpot payouts the WagerWorks variant offers 25,000 credits for royal flush and 2,500 credits for straight flush in the 1 credit side bet. Because there is no progressive jackpot the smaller side bet payouts are enhanced in the WagerWorks variant. Four of a kind pays out at 750 credits, full house pays out at 225 credits and flush pays out at 150 credits. Some of the call bet payouts are marginally higher as well. WagerWorks Caribbean Stud Poker can be played at Virgin Casino.
